The Sheer Force of His Powerful Purity

Today I’m offering my most humble dandavat pranamas millions of times unto the lotus feet of our most beloved and highly revered guide and constant inspiration, Srila Bhakti Vijnana Bharati Mahārāja. May he continue to shower his divine sacred mercy upon me always.

Mahārāja came into my life, filing a huge void left after the departure of our most beloved Gurudeva and master Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayan Goswami Mahārāja.

I had known Srila Bharati Mahārāja for a number of years previously, but had never significantly appreciated his immense qualities, until the departure of my Gurudeva.

Srila Bharati Mahārāja was so obviously carrying the entire conclusions of all our Gaudiya line with its pristine Siddhanta and teachings. He would distribute this in his simple, eloquent and direct presentations, that the mind and heart would be filled with peace and inspiration, being propelled by the sheer force of his powerful purity.

His character and personality were a stark contrast to my Gurudeva, demonstrating the versatile personal natures of our acaryas. Yet his Hari katha resounded with the same clear, essential truths of sastra, that I’d heard for so many years, revealing his solid immersion in the topics of pure Bhakti. Thus it was always a totally heart warming, joyous experience being in his divine presence.

He taught me emphatically to honour all the Vaisnava appearance and disappearance days, which would otherwise, if ignored, be an aparadha. This was a remarkable gift, for which I will forever be immensely grateful for.

Today, I’m remembering his kindness on such a fallen, undeserving soul, and am continuing to daily beg for his divine mercy to lighten and nurture this most wretched conditioned jiva with his simple, profound mercy.
