"Gaudiya Matha is Just Like Yogapitha"

om ajnana-timirandhasya jnananjana-salakaya caksur unmilitam yena tasmai sri-gurave namah sri-caitanya-mano-'bhistam sthapitam yena bhu-tale svayam rupah kada mahyam dadati sva-padantikam I was born in the darkest ignorance, and my spiritual master opened my eyes with the torch of knowledge. I offer my respectful obeisances unto him. When will Srila Rupa Gosvami Prabhupada, who has established within this material world the mission to fulfill the desire of Lord Caitanya, give me shelter under his lotus feet? Although I am very unqualified, and in darkness, still keeping the words of Devakinandan dasa in my mind and following in the footsteps of my Guruvarga, I am trying to please my most worshipful Gurudev nitya lila pravista om visnupada Sri Sri Bhakti Vijnana Bharati Gosvami Maharaj by this offering : tathapi mukera bhagya manera ullasa dosa ksami’ mo-adhame kara nija-dasa Even though I am dumb and unable to express their greatness, still my heart is joyful due to my great good fortune (that the Vaisnavas have accepted me as their own and Sri Gurudeva has given me harinama full of blissful pastimes). Forgive the faults of this fallen soul and make me your servant. sarva-vancha siddhi haya yama-bandha chute jagate durlabha haiya prema-dhana lute They award the perfection of all desires, including freedom from death, and even that rarest treasure not found in this world – prema! Appreciating Sri Gaudiya Math Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Sarasvati Prabhupada told that we Gaudiyas must be ready with enthusiastic attitude to spend Gallons of blood for the emancipation for the common people in this society. Gaudiya Devotees are so merciful, especially those who follow Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur and Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur, they are the most merciful Personalities. Unfortunately we cannot realize this point what Gaudiya Math really is. Many are speaking that in the Gaudiya Math there are so many problems, but actually in the real Gaudiya math there cannot be any problem, it is a transcendental place, it is not that you collect some money and buy some bricks and cement and start to build temples. The Gaudiya math is a place which is descending out of causeless mercy from the spiritual world into this world, so that we can have a chance to become engaged in our real occupation, instead of getting heavy punishment all the time. Sri Gaudiya math is an eternal place. In this world we see so many institutions, all kind of Institution, so it is very easy to say that Gaudiya math is just one of those Institutions. But only foolish people without proper understanding will think like this. These are the same people who say that Sri Vrindhavan Dham or Sri Navadvip dham are just like any other places on the geographical map. Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur says in his Navadvip Bhava Taranga, that by the inconceivable potency (acintya sakti) , which is infinite and spiritual, the Lord has brought these two dhams into the spiritual world in order to liberate the living entities dwelling there. By the power of the mercy of Sri Krsna, may the souls bound in matter someday see these abodes of Vrindavan and Navadvip, the same is applicable to Sri Gaudiya Math. In the vision of our Acaryas Gaudiya math is synonym to the verse : divyad- vrindaranya-kalpa-drumadhah srimad-ratnagara- simhasana-sthau srimad radha-srila-govinda-devau prestahlibhih sevyamanau smarami In the shining land of Sri Vrindavan, in a temple composed of jewels, Sri Sri Radha – Govinda are seated on an effulgent throne beneath a kalpa vriksa tree, accepting service from their beloved sakhis. I meditate upon Them. Gaudiya Math is just like equal to that Yogapith in Vrindavan. That is the vision of of our Acaryas. Lucky and unlucky at the same time To establish this transcendental Gaudiya matha in this world, so much effort is behind. What kind of sacrifice, what kind of tolerance, what kind of surrender all the illustrious member of this Society has shown. So there is no way that one ever can pay this debt.

I am feeling most fortunate and unlucky at the same time. I am feeling lucky in the sense that somehow or other I have come in contact with such divine personalities, of same personalities I have heard from others or read about their teachings and live, and even more fortunate is that I have personally met one of those transcendental personalities, My Gurupada padma Srila nitya lila pravista om vishnu pada Sri Sri Bhakti Vijana Bharati Gosvami Maharaj, he is one of that kind of transcendental Personality who spent Gallons of blood for the condition souls, I feel mostly blessed , but at the same time I feel unlucky because I cannot follow him properly, that is my misfortune. Because if I would really follow him than I can never be separate from him, all siddhanta, all acara ( proper behavior) and full surrender all would be manifested in my heart out of his causeless mercy. Because it is said in SB 10.13.3 : śṛṇuṣvāvahito rājann  api guhyaṁ vadāmi te brūyuḥ snigdhasya śiṣyasya  guravo guhyam apy uta O King, kindly hear me with great attention. Although the activities of the Supreme Lord are very confidential, no ordinary man being able to understand them, I shall speak about them to you, for spiritual masters explain to a submissive disciple even subject matters that are very confidential and difficult to understand. How to recognize a sat sisya ? You can recognize a sat sisya when all the qualities of Sri Guru manifest in the disciples heart. Like our Gurudeva, we can see and observe that all the Qualities and Siddhanta of Srila Bhakti Daitya Madhava Gosvami are manifested in him, there is no difference, he has became one with his Gurudev.

To one disciple who is fully surrendered, Gurudev is not holding anything back, he will make that disciple also became guru (heavy). That’s why Gurudev also mentions that, One should not consider himself diksita (initiated), as long as divya-jnana (transcendental knowledge) has not truly manifested in his heart, and this divya jana is only coming if one is full surrender. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Prabhupada addressed all of his disciples as Prabhus, he never saw that they are his disciples because he saw that all are developing that kind of Guru-Bhakti, so that all this Qualities became manifested, and all are able to act as Acaryas. Srila Bhakti Daitya Madhava Gosvami was especially shinning in his Guru Bhakti I heard that one day Srila Prabhupada was asking some Sannyasis and Brahmacaris what kind of seva they would like to do, and everyone of them gave some answer, I would like to do this and that. But your Gurudev at that time Haiyagriva Brahmacari, when he was asked , he just would answer , that any seva which you order me I will carry on my head and see it as the most valuable treasure , and I will not come back without having fulfilled your order. That was the kind of surrender that Srila Madhava Maharaj would have, by which he would be later addressed by his own Gurudev as VOLCANIC ENERGY.

Srila Madhava Maharaj would preach in those places where it was almost impossible to establish the teachings of Sriman Mahaprabhu, even others tried before, but at the end they could not do, so Srila Bhaktisidhanta called Srila Madhava Maharaj, and he was all the time with full enthusiasm ready , "Yes Gurudev, let me try." He went to areas where all were Mayavadis, or disbelievers of God, but because of his Gurunistha he was able to establish everywhere branches of the Gaudiya math. Such kind of dedication is rarely seen in this world. Sri Gurukripa is the all in all in our spiritual live, so I hope that just one spark of such a kind of dedication to Sri Guru becomes manifested in my heart. The stream of Bhaktivinod Dhara is always present After the disappearance of so many stars who were surrounding the full moon Srila Bhaktissidhanta which illuminated the Sky, and I can proudly say that my Gurudev is one of them, it is so important to be always in contact with his Vani, which is non different from him. Gurudev has given us so much treasures, if we follow that then the seed of our creeper will gradually grow, and make us able to become sat sisya, beautiful flowers, and only the fragrance of such flowers will give pleasure to Srila Gurudev. I am very grateful to all of them who are publishing Srila Maharajas Lectures and establishing his teachings. A wave of hope floods my heart In Krsna lila we can find that when Putana was coming to Vraja she has put same deadly poison on her breast to kill baby Krsna. This poison is such, that when it touches someone he will die immediately. So Krsna has the nature that anything which he touches becomes nectar, so that poison immediately turned into nectar. If that which is impure touches the pure it immediately becomes purified. So Krsna and his devotees are non different. That’s why those Maha-Bhagavatas have the power to immediately transform that which is impure, it does not matter how sinful we are. Srila Gurudev also said that when Jagai and Madhai came in contact with Nityananda prabhu, then not only their impurities were taken out, but he turned them into Maha-Bhagavatas. So in this way great hope is flooding my heart , thank you Gurudev for accepting me……. vancha-kalpatarubhyas ca krpa-sindhubhya eva ca patitanam pavanebhyo vaisnavebhyo namo namah Yours aspiring servant of the servant of the servant Tarun Krsna das
