"My Gurudeva Had a Very Loving Relationship with Srila Maharaja"

First, I pray for the Divine Blessings of my Most Revered Gurudev, HDG Srila Bhakti Ballabh Tirtha Goswami Maharaj.

I pray for the Divine Blessings of my Most Revered Shiksha Guru, HDG Srila Bhakti Vigyan Bharti Goswami Maharaj, I offer my humble Pushpanjali on this day!

I have no appropriate words to describe the affection and compassion I received from my Shiksha Gurudev, we used to say, our Bharti Maharaj!

When in 1979, in Jammu, a sudden Darshan opportunity came, a Nagar-Kirtan procession of Sree Chaitanya Gaudiya Math at famous Raghunath Mandir complex was on way. My good fortune brought me there to get the first ever Darshan of my Gurudev, my Shiksha-Gurudev and other Guruvarga dancing with ecstatic chants of ‘Haribol.’

Then a chain of fortunate events brought me closer to Gaudiya Parampara! Next three-four decades were full of Transcendental Sanga, where Srila Bharti Maharaj gave me abundant love and affection. Whenever Jammu preaching tour happened, I was fully engaged and charged. One or two Sankirtan-Harikatha programmes were happening at our residence at Shastri Nagar, Jammu, annually, where alongwith all, Parampujyapad Srila Bharti Gosami Maharaj will also visit our home. Last time we had great honour of hosting Him for 5 days at our Jammu residence, in 2015, when He personally delightedly performed the Abhishek of the Deities Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Radha Damodar and Sri Sri Baldev Subhadra, Jagannath, Sudarshan and Nrisinghdev! His meticulous subtle details of the Abhishek ceremony were simply transcendental! When the Abhishek ceremony was over, He asked my revered parents, “Are you happy?” He made me very comfortable when instructing on the serving of the deities!

During that time He also visited our Gokul Goshala, Kathua, accompanied by Sri Madhav Priya Prabhu and others. He looked very much pleased by the sight of beautiful happy cows! He asked about each cow’s wellbeing, moving all over the cowshed. He gave me very important instructions for how to properly serve the cows. When I asked, “How can I serve?” He said, “You have done a great service to me, I am beholden to you for this service of the cows.”

I remember my Gurudev used to speak very highly about Bharti Maharaj, it was pure transcendental loving relation manifest. I have personally witnessed both of them interacting, it was out of this world communication. Many times, Gurudev wanted Bharti Maharaj’s opinion on different matters, personal and institutional. If needed, Gurudev used to write letters.

Although I received unparalleled causeless mercy of Srila Bharti Maharaj, I fell overwhelmed and ever indebted to Him. I can never repay Him by any means. I only bow down to His Lotus Feet for His forgiveness, as I could not serve Him.

I had the opportunity to be in close contact with Him but I could not comprehend His Transcendental qualities.

I beg Him to forgive my offenses, which I have might have committed and to grant His causeless mercy unto me.
